Building Codes Assistance Project

The BCAP Code Builder provides information on advanced codes to architects, builders, and building departments. This tool also explains terminology, references current practice of specific measures, and provides information on applicability. The Code Builder will also serve as a clearinghouse for next-generation code changes - including advanced and green measures used in high performance homes.

Read about your building system of interest by clicking the number on the building that corresponds to the legend below. A brief introduction will appear to the right of the building. For further information and examples of advanced policy options and code language, click on the link at the bottom of that text or click on your choice in the menu on the left side of this page.
