Building Codes Assistance Project

The Washington State Building Code Council (SBCC) will be holding two public hearings regarding proposed changes to the 2009 Washington State Energy Code (WSEC). The first will be held in Renton on Tuesday, September 29 at 10:00 am PT (1:00 pm ET) in the Renton Holiday Inn, and the second will be held in Spokane on Monday, October 5 at 9:00 am PT (12:00 pm ET) in Spokane City Hall.

The SBCC's listed schedule reserves final adoption of the proposed changes for its meeting on Thursday, November 12 at 10:00 am PT (1:00 pm ET), with a tentative effective date of July 1, 2010 for the 2009 WSEC.

The SBCC will be accepting public comments on the proposed changes until the close of business on Monda, October 5.  Comments may be submitted at the contact information on the SBCC website.
