Idaho Adopts 2006 IBC, IRC, and IEBC Editions

On April 17, Idaho Governor Butch Otter signed H0220, a bill adopting the 2006 versions of several I-Codes, including the International Building Code (IBC), sections of the International Residential Code (IRC), the International Existing Building Code (IEBC). The legislation also re-affirmed the state's use of the 2006 International Energy Conservation Code (IECC), which was first adopted in 2007.

Idaho 2006 IECC Goes Into Effect

The State of Idaho and Division of Building Safety (DBS) has adopted the 2006 edition of the International Energy Conservation Code (IECC) as a minimum conservation requirement for residential and commercial buildings effective January 1, 2008.
